Seek and ye shall find.

There is always a reason why people enter the yoga room for the first time. For me, I found the yoga during a period of soul searching. I had recently made a 180 degree turn, resigning from a promising career with the federal government and was spending time travelling and volunteering while exploring my next steps.

I started looking for a sport or activity that would improve my physical strength and flexibility, harness my focus and determination and provide a challenge. I found this and so much more in Bikram yoga. There was no epiphany, the yoga just seemed to resonate. I was told to come back as soon and as often as I could within the initial 7 day introductory offer. Seasons have come and gone and I haven’t stopped coming back.

I love this yoga because it is simple. You listen to the dialogue, you try the right way and you breathe. Simple right? Yet it still offers such a challenge as we continue to release expectations and judgements on our own practice, as we strive to control that cheeky monkey mind and be present in every moment.

I became a teacher because I believe in this yoga and want to share it with others. This yoga will help you to understand that the most important thing in your life – is your life. The healthier and happier you are, the better life you can lead, the better you can provide for your family, the better mother, father, partner, sister, brother, child, grandparent, friend, neighbour … the better human being you can be. It is not just you that will benefit from your own practice.

Welcome to our yoga community. I look forward to seeing you in the hot room!
